Please explain something about Optimus/Enduro

If I get a laptop with a mobile graphics card (let's say GT740M for Nvidia and 8750m for AMD) with Optimus/Enduro, is it possible that it won't affect my battery life at all?

I don't need a graphics card, or do anything that requires it, but most of the laptops that have the specs I want have graphics card. So I just want to know whether these technologies mean that the graphics card won't affect my battery lift?

That's the reason those technologies exist.

Laptop switches to on board graphics when not gaming.

If battery life is most important to you then better to look for 1 that doesn't have dedicated GPU i think.
Optimus can be configured to only use the integrated GPU but there's other angles that might play a part like the laptop having 2 fans instead of 1.
Another consideration would also be the power brick size/weight is going to be larger/heavier with a machine with a dedicated GPU.
(mine with a GT680M GPU) - the power brick is 1.8 pounds/that's 800g - close to 1 kg.
