Well, I am applying for a Telkom simple deal.
I was told that this is the cheapest way to get your line activated. So as soon as the line is activated, a friend told me that I should then give the number to afrihost and they will take my telkom account. All that I have to do then is pay for my telkom line, and the afrihost account.
Is it as simple as that?
Since its month to month you probably have to give 1 months notice so you have to be on telkom for 1 month at least
She (Telkom lady) said that it costs R1000+ to activate my line.
So my thinking is this, the Telkom simple plan for just R399 gives me that activation, a dongle, another router, etc.
What happens when Afrihost takes over that account? Would Telkom try to penalize me by forcing me to pay for the line activation? I am not too clued up on this but avoiding that line activation cost then ditching Telkom immediately is the plan.
