Jungleboy, please give us an answer:
You must distinguish between the election process and the actual political direction the country is taken in, ie the policies and practices of the ruling party. Remember, Hitler won his election in a fair and open process, but the policies were disastrous.Why is south africas election, which was described by international observers as free and fair(like the previous 3), seen by some as the collapse of south africa into just another african country? Surely this is the exact opposite of what happens in most african countries?(ask zim)
what was your question?
I have mentioned that 96K spent on 200 employees (480 pp) is hardly a vulgar amount.
Mashatile is no stranger to controversy. He made news headlines in 2006 when he spent nearly R100 000 on a dinner at the posh Auberge Michel restaurant in Sandton. He allegedly used his government credit card to entertain colleagues from the economics and treasury departments and the Gauteng Shared Services Centre.
Mashatile reportedly spent more than R250 000 on restaurant bills in the five months from February to June in 2006.
Mashatile said he spent:
# R480 at Ritrovo restaurant in Pretoria; R17 183,50 on two visits to Auberge Michel; and R1 900 at Pigalle in January;
# R2 641,45 on two visits to Auberge Michel and R12 297 at Pigalle in March;
# R2 030,95 at The Butcher and Grill in April;
# R5 409,90 on one sitting at Beverley Hills in Durban and R3 720,20 on a single visit to Auberge Michel in May; and
# R99 810,40 on two visits to Auberge Michel and R85 at Palazzo Mede in June.

You know he will not answer because either he will have to lie or do something that the ANC are not allowed to do, tell the truth.
I just want to see how many times I have to ask before I get an answer. This is of course all theoretical, I may never get an answer - which is most likely.

It is interestng that no one picked up on ALec Erwin's splurging of R3800 for each of his 36 guests for a post-budget party.
I may answer you provided you asked me a question.

Don't forget, he gets away with,unauthorised expenditure is quite common... nothing new
as to how he did it, its easy
Give the card to the waiter.. the waiter goes to the POS and swipes it.
The waiter brings back the slip, which he signs.

Absolutely typical. When presented with something that doesn't support your argument you just ignore it. You have not a foot to stand on, your argument is a complete FAIL.
Paul Mashatile is abusing our hard earned tax money for his own benefit. He is a thief and JungleBoy can't disprove otherwise.
How is throwing a year end function an abuse of your hard earned money. Don't you get year end functions at your workplace?
The civil servants that were entertained during those functions are also tax payers like you so don't think for once that you alone are paying for their entertainment.
