Please fix

So i still haven't mounted mine - its indoors next a window pointing in the general direction of the tower. I get between 120 and 280 Mbps in general. Was going to see if i can mount today but i got lazy. Your device should be connecting either to my tower (Menlyn Maine), the one across Justice Mahlangu or the one by Woolies Atterbury

Definitely get that pole and see if it helps - have you managed to try just getting the router on the roof (even without line of sight)

Wow we sitting in the same boat but I think your a stone throw from that tower -You should easily get 300-400mb -perhaps even higher. In my case Im sitting in the middle of a complex in a ditch so Its lower and the Hospital is also in my way(Your tower wont be an option) -They connected me to that tower yesterday but I received no signal - I personally think I will connect to the 1.16km tower from me thats my gut feel even with closer towers my terrain counts against me -I will give you feedback I went to builders to get a 3m pole. A guy on a video said their 10m cable degrade the signal so I might get perhaps a 6m ethernet cable -I will do some measurements but it is major work getting this baby mounted.I have not climbed into the roof -I might mount this only Monday

This is my last month on Rain 5G I think. I have 2 fibre lines which I think is enough for now I don't know I will see but I do like the speed of Rain 5G
Your very fortunate to have fiber in your area -my area is not ready yet. Im sure you gonna miss the speed but your latency is better than 5g

Just thread the pipe clamps through the bracket they supplied. Make sure you do it the right way.

Slip the clamps over the pole and tighten with a screw driver. Make sure you have a square head bit for the clamps. Or a flat that can fit perfectly into it. Take one with to the hardware so you sorted before you start.

I mounted mine on a spare dstv bracket.

Once the bracket is mounted you clip it onto the router.

Use a long cable and test it before you mount it

Yes I got the pole yesterday -I might test today and mount it tommorow. Can you see your tower from your house ?One should mount the unit where they cant grabs the unit.I still have an extra dish but since im in a ditch Im going the 3m pole route -this ditch is counting against me

I can see it in the distance yes. I'm about 1.1km from the tower.

Yes try an make it difficult to get to mine is not really visible from prying eyes so touch wood I'm okay.

After lots of issues and a 3m Pole mounted on the roof my poor rain speeds are a thing of the past -joining the 200MB club -what a mission but this unit works great outside @nad_isa @powermzii @rain_mobile @rain_networks . Thanks for all your advice and help

Now a happy client

At least you're sorted, I'm fighting horrible uplink speeds, came from a good 40mbps to the new 1-2mbps if I'm lucky. It's much worse today, if I try to upload something, the connection breaks, have to switch over to my Telkom lines to upload anything.

@rain_mobile @rain_networks please fix this nonsense!!

Trust me it was a long wait but I am happy now. Goodluck hope u get sorted. Yes a poor upload speed is annoying.By the look of things its shaped so even if you get 40mb upload your true upload will be 2-3mb with their shaping -same apply to download speed

Thanks mate. According to the Tech there is a new tower in our area -do you know of new towers ? He said its not listed on the rain site -which I find weird. From 3 Bars 5G I do get 5 bars 5G now
Nope the guy said the CPE is made for roaming -so if your strongest signal tower is down it will go roam to others.....if they can lock it it would be great though
