PLEASE HELP! Convert to DVD

Hi,
I have 2 mpeg files and 1 uncompressed AVI file that I need to copy to DVD.
I CANT work out what to do:

I've tried:
1) IMTOO DVD Creator - the quality came out shocking, with all interlacing lines (even though the original source is 720X480 pixels)

2) Nero Vision 4 - It says that the conversion completed successfully, but the AVI clip will just not play on the DVD!

3) DVD Flick - it causes and error on the AVI file, and doesn't convert it

4) ConvertXDVD - the avi converts fine, but the mpegs are all stretched and are missing their colours!!!

PLEASE HELP! I just want to convert a few files from my video camera to a DVD. I never knew it would be so difficult.

If anyone can recommend ANY program (even a program I need to pay for), please let me know as I've now spent countless hours with all the above programs and come out with nothing but useless DVD-R's.

ConvertXtoDvd 3 should work fine - you need to make the correct changes to the settings though. I will post my setting here later when I'm home.

what OS are you using? Vista and Windows 7 has a built-in dvd maker that will let you make a dvd from video files.

Afaik...Xilisoft video convertor is good.you should get the bundle pack.

You mean it imported mpeg's OK but the DvD transcoding screwed up, or the AVI file didn't import correctly???

NeroVision always worked pretty well for me. Forget the dvd player - does it play OK on pc? Old / dodgy dvd player.....
