Please HELP eyes blurry on LCD monitors

I brought this up before, and i am still puzzled as to why my eyes see all the blurr on any LCD monitor. I have checked alot of websites for information and they all mixed up and dont mean anything.

OK, some dvd's i will notice it and some not, but always when i play a game and move the mouse i get it straight away, if i dont move the mouse and objects move on the screen its fine. Its only mouse movments that make it blurry, and i can feel it hard behind my eyes. The faster i move it the more blurry it becomes and i cant focus on one spot.

Now if i use my CRT monitor, i dont have anything of this sort even though the monitor is running at 60hrz. So i am not sure its my eyes that are causing this or the different screens, my brother says he does'nt notice anything on his screen, but i did.

If i open a window in windows and move it left to right it looks like the text smudges so to speak and i cant make out what it says, but if i do this on the CRT i can still read and make out most of it.

So my real question is, is the LCD running too slow to keep up with my fast eyes, Or are my eyes too slow to keep up with the LCD. But remember the CRT has no effect, on my eyes. Do any think that my eyes pick up the light signals turning on and off hence why i can notice the slow down, otherwise if my eyes picked it up slower i'll almost be syncronized with the light signals making it feel normal.

BTW, i have tested on a few monitors from 19" LCD entry level right up to 24" LED top range.And none of them come close to the 17"CRT i can see perfect on, and i want to go bigger but i just cant, so please someone tell me whats happening here PLEASE.

lol...while i was reading through this again, i thought of reply i would have given to someone else and it would say this

"what you F%$#%&G need is a doctor". just thought it was pretty funny, and i am sure i dont need one. I can check what number is on someones shirt 1 k away. No, i cant do that but it would be cool.
 
I can see it too - it's just a problem with LCD's i guess....

maybe, just maybe, our EYES can't keep up with the rapid movement...who knows?


for you guys that don't see it - take a window/winamp and start dragging it left or right, starting slowly and then faster - do you see the blur?
 
It may be that your mouse dpi is too low for a high resolution LCD screen so try a laser mouse which has a very high dpi.
 
Oh and enable ClearType in the display properties. That may help.
 
With the windows and winamp, is also what i am talking about, But why does it not happen with a CRT monitor. Thats the part i am confused with, to me it makes me think something is not right with the LCD monitor. I must say the LCD is very clear and crisp compared to the CRT, but once it starts moving for me it blurrs.
 
Get a 2ms LCD screen and set it on fastest:D
 
i have tried the clear type text and once it starts moving again still same blurr. I have an optical mouse, and tried with the sidewinder X8 or X10 something, wihich i presume si lazer aswell as top of the range 23" CRT monitor. Same story.
 
Have you checked the monitor is set to to it's maximum refresh rate and that it is running its native resolution?

If i run my 23" in a lower resolution it looks horrific with text.

Yea if you are running xp which i doubt you must turn on clear type, windows vista i cannot remember but i think vista and 7 have it turned on from install.

it's not the mouse.


go into a game of dota or something (War craft type engine) - the screen looks fine. then move the mouse to the right of the screen - as soon as the map scrolls you will see everything blur as well, until it stops scrolling.
 
Dude, this is LCDs for you. Nothing wrong imo. I see it too. Why are you looking for the problem in the first place? You should google how LCDs actually function to get a better understanding for what you are seeing. My 2 cents
 
It may be that you are more sensitive to this blur effect than others. I can kind of tell what you are talking about when dragging windows back and forth, so that sort of makes sense. Might be as simple as that...
 
Guys i know its a funny situation, and i make fun of it too, and have a good laugh about it, but it really is a problem.

its not that try to notice it always, its just that if the screen is always moving fast, i battle to keep my eyes focused because of the blurr, and after about 5 mins my eyes feel strained and that i am trying to focus to get the blurr away as one would do on something else if it was in the distance. Thats the kind of problem i'm having with these screens,

they make cars and building for the disabled, but not LCD screens.

Anyways, i have tested it with every setting and cable one can get, VGA, DVI, HDMI, 60,70,75,80,85,95 Hrz...ect.. aswell as resoultions, and all monitor settings.

I read something about the eye can only process a certain speed for images, and that even if you go higher than a certain refresh rate on a monitor it wont make a difference, but i dont think its true, cause the CRT does not have this effect.

Do you think it could come down to a lack of consentration of some sort? And if it is the screen, why are others not able to notice it and others can, aswell as noticing it more and less than others.

It might be, i know the LCD is alot brighter, would that make images seem slow and blurr alot though?

Another thing i have noticed is, if i watch a movie that was recorded from an lcd monitor, and i watch it on an lcd monitor, there is no blurr that i can notice, and my eyes dont strain like it would if i was controlling it on the LCD.
So what can you make of that?
