This problem occurs when the engine is in these RPM's, it happens when in neutral or overtaking.

Happened before and after a recent service, some days it doesnt do this.

Car: Citoen C2 1.4 VTR

Vid link

Thanks

PS: Diagnostics show no faults and engine is rated for 6500 RPM.

My thoughts: Timing is out by one tooth or cluster is showing wrong RPM and this engine is actually red limiting.

Diagnostics should also be able to tell you rpm so you can compare cluster.
Have not watched video. Can you describe symptoms?

It seems to idle perfectly. Doubt it's the timing. The rev's aint high so no way it's hitting limit (you can hear the revs.) Might be an airflow (leak on the intake manifold maybe?) issue or something wrong with your limiter.

Lets say I want to overtake a truck in a hurry, I down shift and i hit 4500-5000 RPM and the car would violently jerk until i upshift or release the throttle.

The vid has more explanation.

Sounds like it's hitting rev limit at around 4k rpm. Sound exactly like a rev limiter where it stutters around max rpm.

Does it still limit while in gear? Pushing it past 4k?

I know some cars have an idle rev limiter.

edit: Nvm. saw your other post now...

Not sure exactly your problem , but you might want to look at the neutral position switch. This tells the ECU what gear you in.On my car its been very sluggish at low rpms , and doesnt have the pull//acceleration.Plugged in a diagnostics reader and it looks like my car is only reading neutral and 6th gear.

I doubt my car is that sophisticated.

Fuel pump and Fuel filter are 2 different things. Fuel pump is in the tank. Fuel filter is in the fuel line.

Which exact model is it? Some evidence on the net that filter is integral with pump on some models.

In Vid 1 I can see the engine is up to temperature, but in vid 2 it is not yet completely in working temp.
Maybe the engine temp meters is reading wrong and sending wrong info to ecu?

My previous Megane 2 had a lower rev limiter in lower gears if the engine is not in the correct working temps.
