Hey guys,
This is a weird problem I got today after formatting and reinstalling Windows XP Pro. I've set up my router with the CD that came with it (Mega 100WR), it automatically detected my username, password, wireless etc.. settings for my Mweb account and filled them in for me during the setup.

Now I clicked "make a new connection" in control panel/network connections and chose to make a broadband connection that requires username and password. I entered the details of my other ISP account and when I connected and went to Internet Explorer it redirected me to a page with the Mweb logo that said:

http://landingpages.mweb.co.za/MWebBusinessIncorrectLoginorPasswordPage/tabid/823/Default.aspx

ERROR 601: INVALID USERNAME OR PASSWORD

I disconnected and connected to my Mweb connection and it let me on the net again. I don't know why it isn't letting me use my other account and Mweb weren't helpful at all when I phoned them.

Can anyone help me please?
Vic

Did you order and pay monthly for your line directly through M-Web?

Did it put a proxy address in that somehow links to M-Web? I didn't think M-web had a proxy for ADSL.

Lol, I've been with Mweb for ages :D
I figured it out guys. It was actually a problem with my other ISP, I had the wrong password for my account and Mweb was telling me about it.

Don't exactly know how/why but the main thing is it's sorted :).

Thanks to those who replied :D

edit: and yes I did carudden.
