Please Help - MTN mobile data

Hi, Please help!

Im using a samsung s5 and I'm on the mtn network.

My connection keeps going to H however it does not have any internet access.

When it shifts to 4g or H+ it suddenly works but it always reverts back to H and then i have no access.

Factory reset phone, did a sim swop. Same thing still happening.

Please help.

Strange problem. What APN setting do you use?

Go to settings then "more networks" then "Mobile Networks" then "Access Point Names" and see what setting is enabled? I would suggest using myMTN as the apn but if it does NOT work you can try internet as the apn.

Make sure the Mobile Data setting is also ticked under the "Mobile Networks" setting.

If that all is in order have you tried another MTN simcard in the phone? if it works then its your number that needs to be looked at. Calling 173 for prepaid or 808 for contract and ask them to check if your number have all the services loaded like data and packet data ect ect. Sometimes if you have your simcard in a phone that does not use data for very very long it tends to deactivate.
