Please can someone recommend a decent video chat application, is there any free ones out there ?

Its free .... but if you use it for calls on mobile networks it costs, but over internet (PC to PC) its all free.

Just looked at ooVoo .... does look good, been using Skype for so long, never bothered to check out the competition!

Skype is free from computer to computer including video. The only time you have to pay is if you want to call physical land lines.

Skype is great, use it for all my video chat needs, if you want to go even simpler, you can do videochat from Gmail's web interface if you install a small plugin.
