I am having some problems, I cant tell if my Laptop is using integrated graphics or my graphics card.

On most programs it displays that the Integrated Intel graphics are used but on the ATI Radeon software it pics up the Graphics card.

DirectX Diagnostics tool Display: Integrated Intel graphics
CPUIDHW Monitor Display: Integrated Intel graphics
AMD Radeon and catalyst control Display: AMD Radeon HD 6700M Series.

How do I change DXDiag and CPUID to display information on my AMD Radeon HD 6700M Series.

Also when I run games like skyrim, the pc only picks up that I am using an integrated graphics card.

I have added some screenshots to for more info

I hope my reply is helpful - I have a laptop with an Nvidia card, and Nvidia Optimus does the switching automatically. I am not sure how AMD does it though.

Two things:

- Does your laptop have a switchable graphics option of some sort in the bios? Perhaps you can switch it to the AMD GPU there. And...
- Is this of any use?

It does have switcheble graphics but I am not sue what it means or how it works

I think that white space is my GPU. But why does name not display

Why is it only showing the internal graphics? is that what I play on?

Screenshots of "switchable graphics Application settings and switchable graphics global settings" in AMD catalyst.

When I play skyrim I run SKSE which is a script extender and it says that they game is using Intel Integrated graphics 3000...

At this stage I have tried everything.
Completely removed all the drivers ad software for the GPU.
Disabled both the internal and external GPU in device manager.
Reinstalled drivers.

..and still the my AMD Radeon HD 6700M does not show as the primary driver in any of the software that I use. :(

seems that the Radeon may only work with games that will run with that card, not sure what the games are that you play, but not all of them will work with all video cards.

you could set the card you want to be on all the time, but then it may overheat the board as they are not meant to run permanently unless adequate ventilation and cooling is being provided.

then again i do not use video cards on laptop for gaming, to problematic and Mboards tend to get way to hot

You just have to specify that your dedicated card should run that exe within the catalyst control panel.

Older catalyst center but it's the same.
