We are doing a survey on how happy subscribers are with their ISP, and it will be great if you can rate Supersonic based on value-for-money, network quality, support, and general service satisfaction.

Also please tell us what Supersonic does well, and where they can improve, by positing in this thread.
 
Compared to the previous provider I had, Supersonic's rates a solid 8/10 on value for money, 8.5/10 on network quality and 7/10 on support (and this is because their different functional divisions where not fluid in internal communication as I found myself repeating the same information I had sent via WhatsApp to their telephone contact centre.) Overall, I think they must be at least in the top 3 of this list with an overall 8/10 review.
 
I have recently upgraded technology and made the switch to Fibre, reluctantly leaving the excellent ADSL service provided by Axxess. The fibre infrastructure installed within the complex I live in is owned by MTN which severly limits one's choice of ISP, especially because MTN apparently does not have an agreement with Axxess (or many other providers). By Hobson's choice I therefore became a Supersonic customer. That said, the service I received at installation was very, very good and the service since then has been very reliable and generally up to par.
 
Never heard of these guys EVER, but you have them on the survey and not Cell C Fibre?
 
I don't have a problem with Supersonic regarding the fibre and support I have had for Data; but I do have a small problem with the quality of the IP telephony, with dropped calls and unable to reach destination.
 
Best move i had made. From sales to technical support. Their customer focus is 100%.

The network, here i will give them 90%. Down time due to external providers.

Speed, 90%

I just love this guys. Well done to the owners, share holders, staff. Job well done.
 
WORST SERVICE EVER!!

I moved from one place to another and had to switch providers from Vodacom to Supersonic. Vodacom took 3 days from order to complete the installation. Supersonic took 14 working days then still had to bring the router.

I had internet for a few days then it went down for more than a day. Then again after a few days, it went down, it's now been a week and I still do not have internet. I tried phoning but they have ridiculously long waiting times, worse than Telkom, the WhatsApp chat service takes more than 6 hours to get back to you. I just got a message now from them saying: We are experiencing higher than normal chat volumes.

My experience with Supersonic has been so bad from the beginning...
 
The network good and their pricing is competitive. They need better turn around times on getting to support calls. Their whatsapp number is pointless. Looking at my chat history, I sent them a message at 08:36, their first response was at 13:15 after I had already fixed the issue myself.
 
Probably the hardest company in the world to engage with, whether it's accounts or support.
How their customer service manager still has a job is a mystery
 
I honestly battle to understand why Supersonic got ISP of the Year 2019?

Was it just based on speed and throughput?

Supersonic consistently topped the rankings thanks to its good service levels, quality network, and excellent support.

Yet to find the good service levels and excellent support.

The website for Supersonic is a joke :ROFL:; no information what so ever.
Unable to see my usage, been active for a week, "No Data is available"!
Unable to check details for my subscription, just"Top" options for an UNCAPPED line!
Unable to upgrade or downgrade my package and line speeds!

It is a glorified STATIC HTML page!

Now for support:
The Whatsapps support is atrocious, takes hours for them to answer.
There is no AUTOMATION in Whatsapp to welcome you as a client and give to information, let alone give you an acknowledgment of you are being attended too?

I am regretting every second that I signed up for Supersonic

This does not deserve the title KING of the CASTLE!

I feel this thread so much. Day 18 with them and I have many regrets. Tomorrow I am seeing a Ops Specialist from Openserve. I have a wall of whatsapps, mostly one sided of me trying to sort out my own line. I have only had experience with Cool ideas, Afrihost and SS. Afrihost has better customer service than the other 2, I should have never left for a "better deal" at the time. At this point I am prepared to pay double if I can just get what I pay for and not 1/8th
 
Signed up in September and getting consistent speeds on a 20/20 line. Quite satisfied with the line speed , however their client interaction is not the greatest. Take forever to respond to Whatsapp queries and bizarrely, when I wanted to check my usage I was asked why, since I am on an uncapped package!!!!:sneaky:
This was before they migrated to their new and not so useful client portal.
 
I have signed up with them and it been more than 7 days still waiting on the installation of the Fibre from open serv they called me yesterday to tell me open serv might be here to install tomorrow I hope so will keep you all informed
 
Just a update open serve is coming now to install the fibre into my flat once done super sonic promised they will have a tech at my flat by 6 pm tonight only when i confirm that open serve has done with the install and the fibre connection is live...
