Please reduce electricity usage: City Power

Oh how delightful. Taking us back in time. One load at at time.

/starts charging everything that can be charged and looks for clean underpants
 
Also switch off the fkn gantries, a waste of electricity there
 
the power station failed in JHB aria
but we in the cape aria also get load shedded

the power we save here,how does it help the one in GP,
if we are on koberg power station,
or there a way they can "send" the power over a distance of 1000km


just dont make sense to me

The level of disorganization is pretty hectic.

Eskom page says - loadshedding stage 3.

Tshwane page says - no loadshedding "until 14h00"...which is a blatant lie since I just came out of a 2.5hr unscheduled loadshedding.

...And on top of that 14h00 happens to be my timeslot so it might drop again in the next few minutes...

If they must do rolling blackouts then so be it....but please try and do so in a somewhat orderly fashion.

And I guess it's too much to ask our 'world class' city to get the metro cops out and actually doing useful work for a change by manning all the main intersections to help with traffic flow? Ya, thought so.
 
Have candles and other alternative lighting systems available, ensure your security system has appropriate battery back-up, and find food and refreshments before the blackouts start.

No, we will NOT reduce our power usage any more... because we CANNOT.

You had more than enough time to prepare for this eventuality.

Medupi and Kusile are two national key point installations, right?

then why the **** wasn't the army summoned to kick out the strikers and ne'er-do-wells who didn't do their job properly? :mad:
 
Heres a thought Eskom, why not take care of those that pay their bills.
Cut the areas that have billions in debt as Step 1 to your load shedding strategy and don't turn them on till it is paid!

Perhaps the load shedding would be a bit more palatable then?

The Metro cops think that they are God's gift to the world and that such lowly activities are unsuited to them.

Sitting in BMW's eating KFC is more befitting of their status.
