Hi

I just created my 2nd WoW account and havn't played in a very long time and when I did it wasn't for very long anyways. I can't remember what addons I use to use.

At the moment I am playing a warrior on a PVP server.

Could you guys please suggest a few addons that might make my WoW experience more enjoyable.

Also I remember using a reg entry that reworked the way windows prioritizes internet packets that dropped my latency quite a bit. I can't really remember what it's called. If anyone has any ideas :D

Where to begin...

Probably by downloading the Curse client and then seeing either which class specific addons they have or general ones.

Staple ones for me are:

QuestHelper and QuestPointer

The reg entry you are talking about is the Leatrix latency fix

Also my top addons are
Arkinventory
Auctioneer
Decursive (For dispeller classes)
Recount
Grid ( a nice raid frame, especially nice for healers)
Dominoes ( configures your actions bars)
SunnViewport (Creates a box type effect wherein all your recount and omen stuff can be placed
Also Omen :D
 
get an addon called LUI V3 and you will be sorted, its an awesome ui needs abit of configuration but works well and get postal , gearscore (worlds stupidist addon) and WIM
 
Grid, Quartz, MobileFrames, & Xperl are the 4 mods I can't live without on probably any toon, Quartz especially so with our latencies. I'm not sure how much difference it'll make to a melee dps / tank, but for anything with a cast time, it's *essential*.
 
A lot of our raiders use Battleping and Lowerping for latency.

The addons everybody mentioned is basicly what you need. Curse client is the best way to get addons and it tells you when updates are available for you addons.
 
Just tried Battleping myself now for the first time, and I'm getting 300ms pings.

On iBurst.

That should tell you something :D
 
Power Auras (C/Ds, Procs etc)
Tomtom (Navigation Arrow)
Zygor Guides 3.0 (Tells you what quests to pick up, where to grind etc. Don't buy it tho just "acquire" it through torrents.)

I prefer to use as few addons as possible however and I'm not bothered by the default UI tho.
 
u dont need tom tom anymore ,zygor uses cartographer now which includes the arrow, but its not hard to go to the green dot on the map lol
 
Power Auras, Bartender4, Shadow Unit Frames and BigWigs.

Most everything else is fluff.
