I ordered and received my LTE from Afrihost. It came with the Hauwei B311 router. Plex no longer connects locally. It seems other people have had a problem with this. I created a custom profile and set the apn to unrestricted however plex is still not working. This is highly annoying, any solutions would be appreciated.

What exactly is not working? External people connected to a plex server hosted on your pc? If that is the case the only way is to use the unrestricted apn like you did and then set the DMZ setting to the IP of the device hosting the plex server. Using DMZ opens the connection completely so best to have a proper firewall or antivirus firewall setup.

Its a local network connection. So its from my laptop - Router - TV.

Then the issue is with the router or plex server config not matching up. Make sure the the plex server ip address is set as localhost or 127.0.0.1 and not a static address. Make sure the PC that is running the plex server does not have a static ip set in the ethernet or wifi adapter settings. If it had a static ip set and you changed the router that could be the reason it's not connecting. This is not a LTE just a hardware miss configuration.

Other than having a static IP, what else could be causing it? Really frustrated right now.

Well what is causing it is the fact that the TV can't connect to the Plex server which is hosted on the laptop or pc.

It's a networking setup and if you only changed the router then that is the issue. Change the router to follow the same IP address as the previous one or update the plex server settings. That should solve the issue unless a antivirus or firewall is blocking the incoming connection. Since none of the traffic is going of the internet and all the traffic is local traffic it's a network setup issue.

Assign the Plex server a static IP, make sure the client can ping the static IP. You've provided zero information as to the actual problem, try explaining what the issue actually is.

Also worth remembering Plex won't connect whenever there's no internet connectivity. My Plex only works when Rain uncapped kicks in between 11 and 6.
