Hey Guys n Gals,

I've been struggling with this fking issue for over 2 weeks now and it's starting to bring out a violent streak in me now

I do a fair amount of online racing and drifting and use an Xbox 360 Controller and Wireless receiver connected to my Windows 10 PC.

Every so often, the Controller will start blinking and disconnects from the receiver (or so I assume). Usually I would go to Device Manager and find an "Unknown Driver", then select Update driver and manually select the Windows xbox 360 peripherals and chose the driver and viola, it re-syncs... This time however, I cannot a phuck get this **** bastard to connect and after 2 weeks of fighting I'm about to start fixing eish with a hammer.

Please holy Jesus tell me that someone here has a fix for me or has had a similar issue? I'm losing huge points on racing leagues as I am unable to race...

Thanks in advance, seriously! If you can help I'd be SO appreciative!

SO i can go home. Thanks mate.
PS. It's a Win 10 driver issue.
PS: You don't phucking say genius... Problem is no matter what I do with the drivers it doesn't resolve the issue as it normally does.

Never mind a job, get an education and teach yourself literacy...

Lmfao. Who's the one with a problem here ? You not getting your controller fixed ?
PS. Now this genius won't help you out.

If you have a PS3/4 controller lying around it would be better to use that.

I would start by nuking the drivers and reinstalling from fresh.

Does the Xbox controller not have a reset button like the PS3?

Also, noob, wrong forum section. Should be under PC hardware and gadgets.

wireless? same tech as a wireless mouse?
does that mean it has a battery in it? replace the battery more often?

my wireless mouse acts weird sometimes, turn it on and then off starts working again.
gotten used to the inconvenience, maybe something is interfering with the signal that you have no idea of.

just for arguments sake, what happens to a wired controller, assuming you can test it out quickly.

So at the moment it still says unknown driver?

I was kinda thinking the below setting at first... but it doesn't quite add up or explain why the driver reverts to unknown (which makes me suspect the receiver is faulty, or was on its way out and now its properly done for?). Anyway I suppose check that setting is off regardless. Also test on another PC if possible to rule out faulty receiver/controller.

Nah I don't have a PS controller, only a few Xbox 360 one's. The dog chowed both my Xbox One remotes, lol.

I tried uninstalling all the drivers completely and then restarting and manually reinstalling them but that didn't work either. As far as the rest button goes. There isn't one that I'm aware of. Correct me if I'm wrong, anyone?

Can't use wired xbox 360 from what I am aware...

In terms of batteries, I've changed to normal batts, a charger kit... none of it helps.
