Plugg Uncapped ADSL Feedback

I'm back on my plugg account after a cooling off period of about 2 weeks using an AH 4mb uncapped account and am glad to announce that I'm still on 5 stars by keeping my downloads to 12-6am and ave 10GB per day :) I will monitor the situation and see what happens after 10 days.

I'm on leave at the moment and managed to grab WD S04E04 nzb @ 300kB around 11am this morning which is totally acceptable to me for a home account during the day.

Actually my experience with Plugg is disappointing . We did what the janitor said regarding download BUT we are on 3 stars . I have sent a PM to the Janitor but no response .

Actually just looking at the last three days, most of your downloads happened between 16:00 and 23:00.

I have sent a PM to the Janitor but no response .

Our official support channels are via [email protected] or 08611 PLUGG. Those channels are available 24/7 and the guys are there to resolve queries.

I check-in on the forums when I have some free time during the day/night, but if you really need to get hold of me, best to just email me.

I'll PM you later with the relevant information to your query.

@ Janitor
It looks like we are using different information . I am using Plugg's Usage Statistics on Plugg's website As per the website Yesterday between 16- 23 we used 682.42MB between 23-6 we used 4346.3 MB . A day before we use O.M.G 849.91 MB between 16-23 there was no activity during the night .
I believe that a company representative should at least check their information before publishing information on a public Forum and attacking clients
I am also e-mailing you my response .

As I've pointed out, I only looked at the last three days' usage. As you know, Internet Solutions makes use of a ten day rolling window period which means I still need to run through the other days.

It is not just a matter of looking at your usage but also at the network's capacity/demand at the various times; hence why I said, I will email you later with all the relevant information.

Since at a time, on the forum, you have claimed that you can separate between downloads and the use of browsing and you tube or other streaming data ,I’ll be happy to get this information .
Personally I have put all information on Excel and I can't work it out . (unless we can't browse and watch youtube between 6- 23 ).

Hence why I don't bother with support anymore. I generally just bend over now. Good luck Arni!

Telkom free upgrades to higher speeds... Any idea if plugg is upgrading accounts to match or should we all rather downgrade our lines to match our ISP accounts?

I do not have an answer for you on that matter yet, even after polling the Plugg Product Manager earlier today. They have nothing concrete for me :-/ Will continue to bug them till we have an answer either way.

Cool no problem will wait and see what happens, at least saving at the end of the month cause no way in hell paying for 10MB if my exchange only supports 4MB, so phoning telkom next week to downgrade to 4MB again

Hi janitor

Plz inform your product manager that other ISP's that are offering the same level of service that Plugg offers are offering almost double the speed at the same price as Plugg at the moment. Plugg management needs to get a move on if they wish to keep their customers
Plugg 1mbps uncapped = R199
Competitor 2Mbps uncapped = R198

They are well aware of what is out there. The issue comes in that Internet Solutions needs to give their resellers updated pricing first and only then can Plugg decide on the way forward.

Im guessing you're referring to Axxess? I highly doubt you will receive the same level of service, not to mention its not a concurrent account. I dont mind paying the ISP a little extra for double the speed and i dont expect them to offer free upgrades.

16kb/s on a 4MB line, with light usage in the last cycle.

Plugg consultant A says I am nowhere near being shaped.
Plugg consultant B says I should be shaped and struggle along at 16kb/s.

Very sloppy Plugg.

Service satisfaction: 0.

Adios mochachos, been a waste of money.

If you log into the control panel it will show you what your star rating is and based on that one can comment on the shaping.

IS just went weird at 11PM
TS3 in France packet loss and game in US DC'ed at exactly the same time. SAIX seems fine.

It's happened quite a few times lately.

@janitor
I searched through this thread and many a time it mentions that Plugg does pro rata billing.
I wanted to upgrade my 1Mbs uncapped to 2Mbs uncapped today (23/11/2013)
When I called Plugg, the guy told me I will be doubled billed for the full month for both the 1Mbs & 2Mbs uncapped if they should activate it today?

What is the real policy?

We charge pro-rata. When it comes to upgrading you should only pay the pro-rata rate for the difference between the two products, well that is how I understand it anyhow. But, seeing that am just a janitor, allow me to pose this question to accounts first thing in the morning to get clarity on the matter.

Could you PM me the name of the person you spoke to at the call centre please.

Thanks
