Plugg Uncapped ADSL Feedback

Who is your vpn provider? I was struggling earlier tonight but I see there was a CT issue, so not sure if that's related. I've found at night my Plugg account hasn't shone, but it's early days. I'm still on both (plugg/Mweb) for the next month.

I'm using Unotelly.

Just tested to NY

Pleasant surprise :)

Seems good right now.

We are currently experiencing an outage affecting our services out of Cape Town. Traffic are rerouted but you will encounter some additional latency.

The links between Cape Town and Johannesburg are now restored, traffic is traversing over the primary paths again between the two cities.

Hence the interwebs were flying for me - I think everyone went to bed lol

Hmmm...
Poor intl performance again :-( ... from CPT... where Telkom Internet is a total disaster and seems to have taken others along. Wondering if the problems are related? Anyway...

Not sure what to make of it. Got a 4mbps trial account (thanks to Janitor)... but speeds have been erratic - typically 2mbps or below.

PTA user here, and I've also been experiencing slower than usual international speeds the past 2 days. I'm hoping it's just an end of the month thing.

Can anyone explain how WebAfrica can sell IS bandwidth cheaper the IS (Plugg) can sell IS bandwidth?

IS would have an agreement with the likes of WebAfrica stating that they wont sell bandwidth through Plugg much cheaper undercutting WebAfrica. That being said , Janitor has confirmed that prices will be revised but they cant rush into anything most probably because of that agreement.

Edit : Janitor beat me to it :)

Drat, so should have signed up with WA today and not Plugg. R100 bucks sown the drain, serves me right for poor RnD!!

Not so fast.

I am sorely regretting going over to WA from Plugg.

Bottom line, you get what you pay for. Will go back to Plugg the end of the month again when the stupid 30 day cancellation window from WA expires.

I noticed the line today was shaped to 20KB/s office hours - on 2MB... is that about right? I needed something small urgently off NNTP, so unrestricted my downloads, and noticed the speed didnt go higher.

Plugg was a disaster today. Fortunately they are easier to move away from than Mweb. I'm giving it a month before the jury's out.

My internet is useless.

I can barely browse.
Can't update steam (keeps timing out)
Can't even download apps from my phone on the wifi. A 10MB update's ETA is 1 hour.

Plugged in, this 4mb is SUPAFAST, mu ha ha. 720p Youtube without buffering. 450Kbps Down. Telkom fell over here about a month ago, but it seems all is good again.
