hey, what OS are you using...? also is the simcard prepaid or contract...? have you tried a different simcard in the modem...? if so does that simcard work...?

If its a prepaid Sim.

1) The sim has credit + has been activated for data?
To activate the sim for data dial *123#

2) In "Profile Name" is there something there or is it blank?
If blank:
go to "settings" (2nd from the right black square at the bottom of the dash)
In "Connection" Select "new" + it needs
Number: *99#
APN: "internet"(static)

In Network - adjust "Choose connection Type" entries to whatever suits.
"3G prefered" is maybe the safest option

I've managed to solve this before by downloading and installing the updated dashboard software from MTN here. The download marked 'driver' is actually the dashboard update.

You can also try using an alternative dashboard to determine whether you have a software or hardware problem.
