I am defenetly not a fanbooi. Love to play pc games but want to play games with budd's when they are over at my place. The box is perfect for this. Better offline multiplayer selection then PS3 imho. Still don't want to buy a R2500 Brick though.

Thanks for trying to settle our nerves though. I will buy an xbox if it is going to be safe. How long have you had your Jasper for?

I know the arcades that they are selling are Jaspers. I went to check it out about a month ago. But don't really know about the demo unit because when I go there, they always have the PS3 playing music on the tv.

Now see that does not exactly instill confidence in me, if the unit has only just been put there then I think it can be a jasper. If you say you have never seen a demo xbox there. also you say that they are selling Jasper arcades.

I've had my XBOX for more than 2 years now without any troubles. Dunno which unit, but it was the first one that came with HDMI and the BEN-Q drive. It never overheats and doesn't scratch discs. If you know how to treat your hardware, you won't have any trouble.

im no fanboi aswell i just am seriously stuck on deciding what i must get.i still have like 7 xbox games here that i need to finish (GTA 4 eish) but then im tempted to get the Sony because ive been burnt by M$.All my friends have xboxes so the game swapping is awesome but eish RROD... you hurt me

I fully understand this. Who want's to pay money out for something only to have it die on you in a few months. I know of some people that bought an xbox only for it to RROD within a year. The hassle with warenties in SA is just to much to bare and that is the biggest problem. If I buy a box and it RROD's I do not want to wait for 6 months to get another one and then it might also be an older model that is not even a new one. I'm going to wait and see. But I want one now. the thing is I'd have both a xbox and a ps3 if I had the cash but I don't so I have to make a choice. I really like the xbox but I aint buying it if it's going to be a rod for my back.

yeah bud my PS2 is still going like a dream.it was dropped twice aswell but the beast just keeps on going....and i remember even having it in a terribly ventilated shelve for a year straight.No overheating and certainly no flashing red lights

I think im just gonna go to the stores this wkend - stand there and make up my mind .its damn tough.it would be great to have something with a Blu ray player and a console that would be totally new to me but then also what would be the problem in getting a Jasper Elite bundle and carry on with my other games. decisions.... this sucks.and its eating at me
