I'm Looking for a program that can automatically download podcasts (audio). I currently use Winamp, but it requires me to open it up before it checks for updates and then download the files. I want want a program that will automatically download the files without me having to open the program.

I don't have an ipod so please don't suggest itunes.

dont u need to fire ipodder/juice as well ?

Hi, Yes u need to open it, click on refresh then only does it check for updates & begins downloading.

With Winamp you just open it and it check for updates & downloads without having to refresh. I would like a program that doesn't require opening manually.

Happyfish works quite well for me, google it.

BTW, a program can't do anything until you run it. You'll have to start it when you login.

Well there must be a program out there that you can schedule to run at 12 hour intervals to check for updates and download new files, with winamp, juice etc, u can schedule but the program still needs to be open it up for it to start. I need a program that runs in the background and doesn't require any user intervention .
