Pokemon Go!

Getting lots of eggs this morning but no one use incubators (or was that only available during the event)?
Still no gen2 hatch-lings...

I will probably be full up on eggs by tomorrow morning.

Some Valour people came though our area late last night. like really really late. when we claimed at 11 last night we both still have more than 10.

this morning I had 6 fainted.

so tonight we will spend some time and take back our neighbourhood.

that means hitting pokestops and getting eggs.

yes the one use incubators were only during the event. and only wiht the first spin of the day from Christmas day 3pm our time, until new years day I think

Hatched an Elekid this morning.

Finally something interesting out of a 10km egg.

Of all the eggs I ever got only hatched 2 gen2 pokemon. Sitting with only 5km eggs now and got 1 10km last night

Anyone caught other gen2 pokemon besides the babies?

babies and Evolution of Togepi is all that is in the game ATM.

but the moves are in the latest update, the sprites sit server side and spawn location sits server side.
this means there is nothing that we can learn of that is stopping the roll out of gen 2

Lures last for 6 hours.

lures lasting 6 hours, and increased Chancy is a big deal.

I caught 2 Chancy and 2 lickeatoungue this morning on the way to work.

farm those candies so when gen 2 comes, we can put Blissy in every gym!

10 Blissy Gym bring on the time out errors!!!

doesnt seem like people know about this new event, no lures anywhere except mine :(

still havent seen a single chancy either

Pokemon GO Egg Distances Have Changed, Which Means The Way We Play The Game Might Change Too

While everyone was out trying to catch Chanseys and Porygons for the Valentine’s Day event, Niantic pulled a sneaky move and made some pretty major changes to the way that Pokemon hatch from eggs. More specifically, Pokemon GO egg distances have changed, and 17 Pokemon have been moved from one egg group to another.

This isn’t the first time Pokemon GO egg distances have changed, but it is by far the largest shift we’ve seen to date, which has left some players speculating that it could all be a lead up to the full release of Gen 2.

The Pokemon that have moved from the 10km egg group to the 5km egg group are Onix, Pinsir, and Scyther. NOTE: Some players are reporting that Hitmonchan and Hitmonlee have been removed from the 10km list as well. This is not yet confirmed, and we will update this article when more information becomes available.

The Pokemon that have moved from the 5km egg group to the 2km egg group are Abra, Bellsprout, Diglett, Ekans, Exeggcute, Gastly, Goldeen, Krabby, Machop, Nidoran (M & F), Oddish, Slowpoke, and Venonat.

Our World Is Expanding—Over 80 More Pokémon and New Features Are Coming!

Trainers,

Chikorita, Cyndaquil, Totodile, and many more Pokémon are nearly here! Starting LATER THIS WEEK, you’ll have the opportunity to catch more than 80 Pokémon originally discovered in the Johto region in the Pokémon Gold and Pokémon Silver video games. We’ve also implemented some new features to enhance your Pokémon GO experience.

Additional Pokémon: More than 80 Pokémon that were originally discovered in the Johto region in the Pokémon Gold and Pokémon Silver video games, as well as Pokémon with gender-specific variations, will start rolling out in Pokémon GO.

New Evolutions: There are now more opportunities to evolve your Pokémon in Pokémon GO than ever before. Some Pokémon originally discovered in the Kanto region will soon be able to evolve—into Pokémon that inhabit the Johto region! Be on the lookout for new Evolution items at PokéStops, which you’ll need to evolve some Pokémon.

New Encounter Gameplay: When you encounter Pokémon in the wild, don’t be surprised if they react in new ways as you’re trying to catch them. You’ll also notice the addition of new item carousels that allow you to select Berries and Poké Balls directly from the encounter screen. Hone your skills and catch those elusive Pokémon!

New Berries: Pokémon enjoy eating Berries, and you’ll have the opportunity to get two new Berries by spinning the Photo Disc at PokéStops—Nanab Berries and Pinap Berries! Giving a Pokémon a Nanab Berry will slow its movements, making it easier to catch. The Pinap Berry doubles the amount of Candy you’ll receive if your next catch attempt succeeds.

New Avatars and an Expanded Wardrobe: Now you’ll be able to give your avatar a complete upgrade! Customize your look with a whole new selection of hats, shirts, pants, and other items.

Be sure to use the hashtag #PokemonGO on Twitter to share your experiences as you explore your local neighborhoods with family and friends. We can’t wait to see the Pokémon you catch!
