Pokemon Go!

I did so many raids yesterday that I am out of gold.
caught my first Lugia (first ball, excelent throw pinap berry)
and my first Articuno (first ball, excelent throw pinap berry)

the next 6 ran away.
then I caught a second lugia
then 3 more ran.

my wife had a lucky egg going for the 4 raids she did, so she made 100K xp yesterday.

with the double XP event, along with lucky eggs, and 13K for a legendary raid, we are hoping to do 6 or 7 raids tonight after work and get her half way to level 33 today.

I might end today level 34, and thanks to my hatches, all I need now is unknown to have gen 1 and 2 completed regional dex.

coins, gold whatever.

when the gyms got turned off I had 5000 coins.

raid passes cleared and incubators and that is all gone.

now I have to convert Ebuks to google play vouchers though checkers vouchers in order to do raids and buy eggs tonight.
 
I was wondering whether we could abuse this thread for legendary bird sightings. There is currently one in sandton at the norton rose gym, ending 11:30, if anyone is interested. We are attempting to get more peeps to join in

you can do those with 4 people who all use level 20 machamps (the raid boss is catch is level 20)

No Lapras raids - mostly just level 1/2/3 raids.

Have joined a few local Whatsapp groups and am hoping to get more involved with raids.

but it also openes up for spoofers to join in.
and I am not ok wiht that.

nice good luck man.

nothing more fun than rocking up to a raid and having 3 groups for one raid.

most of the raids yesterday we split per team, so you always got the team bonus or balls.
 
Ooh cheaters are the lowest of the low. They take the easy way out. Why play a game if you take the challenge out of it?! I will never understand that.

I actually rage quit the centurion group this morning because of spoofers.

now I cant join the articuno raid across the road from my office. because I dont have numbers.
 
Can't you just join by clicking on the gym? It usually says searching for more players and then links you
Or am I being simplistic?

Oh duh - you mean enough people. Took me a while to understand what you meant by numbers

articuno you can take with 10 high level, but personally having had 2 level 40's and no one under 33 when taking one of with 9 players I know I wont risk anything less than 12.
and for Lugia it is 15.

if you think you have enough numbers and one idiot uses a blissy the raid is a failure. dps is too low.

Noob question - how do you know what level your pokes are ?

True, but lets not just focus on the negative, the spoofer would probably be using something else already to find the raids. But besides, you can not use legendary mons in gym defense, so they have less usefulness, but also niantic brought out the scratched pokemon thing, not sure whether this is just to diminish the bragging right or make the mon unusable. But regardless, i'm not ok with spoofing, but you can not stop all forms of coordination, brings the saying throwing the baby out with the bath water to mind.

I use an app called Calcify. it basically takes a screenshot and works out IV's and level.

but other than that memory.
can you power up the pokemon more? no then it is your level +1.5 (2 power ups per level)

I agree.
just had a nasty experience this morning with spoofers in a whatsapp group
 
I have yet to join a raid group, what's the best way of joining a group? I'm team mystic so finding one should be easy.
 
Don't think I've ever seen more than 2 other people here in Rosebank when fighting gyms. So no lvl 4 or 5 raids for me :(

Also regretting every Omanyte/Omanstar I've ever discarded with disdain.
