Pokemon Go!

Hi guys

I just wanted to check in and see if there are any raid groups in Durban. I really don't want to miss out on the legendary birds but the best I can muster is a group of about 4 players of varying levels. I do most of my playing around Westville.

I'd be very surprised if there wasn't one.

Maybe ask on the Pokémon Go South Africa group on FB.
 
@ Baxteen, thanks, hopefully a group is created. Need Lugia and Articuno raids!!

My dex is currently on 217, still need Hitmonlee and Hitmonchan.

Hatched a Tyrogue and Magby this morning which were new for me!!

Yanma is common on the East Rand, if you go to Flora Farm in Boksburg, you'll get one for sure!!
 
Pokedex is slowly getting there, currently on 211.

Anyone have good spawn sites for poliwag and bulbasaur? also totodile and bayleef would be nice :)

I see decent numbers of all of those in Randburg - near the CBD.
 
Hey guys,

Sorry that i didn't check the previous pages, but are there any groups in joburg where my girlfriend can find people to do raids with?

She has been a trooper with this game, and has nearly all the pokemon (besides the region locked and legendaries). She was so excited to find out lugia and articuno would be coming out, but she hasn't seen a raid for them yet, and even if they did pop, next to no one does raids in our area (Greenstone)

Though one that, not any particular good spots, do most of my grinding in sandton as it has pokestops every 500m or so.
Although there is one good place, but yes a bit on the dodgy side, its at the kempton park library, 2 gyms across the road from it and i think 2 now in the premises itself, and probably about 10 pokestops in about 500 square area, but i would suggest taking a buddy or two with if you are going to walk with your phone out the whole time

Their is a group for the greenstone area, but i'm not part of it yet, so can't give it to you, best bet is to go best raids ie tyranitar/snorlax/articuno/lugia and camp out a bit. I just missed them on sunday, they where battling a tyranitar raid and left just as I got there.
 
So the dreaded gym bug has bitten me...


Took down a gym last night, stuck a Snorlax in - got home and the gym had been taken over - but my Snorlax is still marked as being in the gym :(
 
I will be at goodies for Gardens tommorow morning.
if someone is heading to a raid in the area, and is willing to swing by my side I will be happy to join for a lift.

I know the east rand struggles with raid groups. but I am also sure there is a group. is anyone here in the pokemon go south africa facebook group?
apparently they have invite links to the main whatsapp groups on there.

if there is no group for the east rand, create one, and add it there, and see how quick you get raid people.

the pta raid group I am in, is looking at doing that one at 15:30 if they get the people, or possibly at 16:00 if they need to wait for more.

I reccomend hanging around and asking them to add you.

the group is also knuckling down against spoofers (the other PTA group is run by spoofers)
so they are as of last night not adding people we have not met in real life anymore.
that is why there is no open invite link for that group.
