the event was at Brightwater Commons yesterday, I would reckon around +-200 people was there.

Quite a few Pokemon were caught on the day - by others not me

So it's only the 4 that are region specific and not available in South Africa ? If so shouldn't we be able to catch 145 because there are 149 on the Pokedex list ?

and Dito has not been found, the legendary birds have are not available yet, and neither are mew and mewtwo.

so 151 - Dito (is apparently catch able in game)
Moltres, Articuno, Zapdos (legendary birds)
Mew, Mewtwo
and for us the 4 region specific ones

I'm wondering if anyone can possibly help.

After downloading 0.37, I can only access the game when connected to wifi, when I try and login with my mobile data, the game just says can't connect to server after a minute or so of trying to login. As soon as I connect to wifi, the game logs in fine.

Reinstalled 5x, still no luck. When I reinstall 0.35 all is fine again, and I am connecting no problems.

any ideas anyone?

ps, my phone is not rooted so it shouldn't be blocked from 0.37, and also why does it work on wifi

Does you mobile data work for other applications?

Any firewalls running that may be blocking mobile data access from the app?

I have noticed the same thing.

takes forever to log in. and if signal drops your connection is doomed. lost a Rhyhorn like that last night. I logged int o collect for my gyms. rhyhorn spawned, clicked on it, game froze, and I could not log in again for about half an hour.

seems 0.37 is WAY more unstable than 0.35

I am considering selecting my buddy and going back to 0.35 until the next update is out.

apparently distance walked will still register on an old version of the app according to Reddit...

I have seen Kangaskhan at a gym close to my office, and at the moment there is a Tauros there.....so not sure if they are cheating or travelling a lot....

You can get those 4 from eggs as well, regardless of region.

Not sure about unstable, but there is something amiss. I also selected my buddy, and am on 0.35 now.

I doubt my phone has some sort of firewall, but will check through everything tonight. 0.37 might require a quicker connection than 0.35, so will enable 4G tonight to test. I normally turn it off to save a little power.

Will also check if my distance registered...let's hope so

ps: read about ppl with rooted phones having a similar issue than me, but they seemed to not be able to login at all. Me, I am just struggling on mobile data, wifi is fine.

Mine works fine on wi-fi and 4G.

Actually seems to sign in quicker than 35.

You can get those 4 from eggs as well, regardless of region.

I don't remember reading a single post anywhere online since the game launched where someone 100% confirmed to have hatched a region specific from an egg.

The day I see someone with screenshots including journal entries I will believe it.
