Even if SAA/Mango flights were half the price of other airlines, I wouldn't use them.

I recall going through a similar incident when I was flying the JFK/LHR route back in the day. We were delayed at JFK for hours due to inclement weather and then shortly after take off the masks dropped from the ceiling so we had to put up with those dangling for 7 hours.I still had the mail! I received this about a week after the incident I described above. I wasn't a passenger in that week, but only just - missed it with about two weeks. Here's the letter
This was followed by rather large compensation payouts to the passengers, and from what I hear, improvements to their already excellent service.
SAA/Mango - that's how it's done!
How mango can let this sort of thing go on inside their planes unanswered amazes me. Do they want to fail?![]()

The boss of this relatively new airline met us at gateway when we landed, apologised to us and handed us all certificates for something like 50,000 air miles.
After flying from Joburg to Cape Town and back with Mango and 1Time, I vowed I would rather pay a R100 more and fly with 1Time airline (see comparison of 1Time and Mango).
I wonder how Nationwide and Kulula compares. I've been pretty happy with both. My single flight (CPT-DBN) with BA was pretty nice too.
Cant stand BA - I've refused to fly with them on so many occasions that my work doesnt even bother trying anymore.I wonder how Nationwide and Kulula compares. I've been pretty happy with both. My single flight (CPT-DBN) with BA was pretty nice too.

Hi all, and thanks for your support. I am one of the guys chucked off this flight.I tell you this will be the last time I ever catch a flight with Mango, but I suppose I don't have to tell you that.
What they seem to have forgotten, is that the bag was supposed to go onboard with me but they would not let me carry it on because it weighed 8Kg's instead of 7Kg's. Go figure. So that's a big stuff you from them, which doesn't surprise me in the least.
