Hi all,

Was hoping somebody out there has an idea of where I can take my 2013 Polo to get serviced in the Fourways area - and please don't suggest VW because they are the biggest rip-offs of the lot. My granny needs a major service done, but I really don't feel like forking out an arm and a leg and a kidney to get it done! Has anyone ever used the Autoway Service Center before? I found it whilst googling...but there are some things Google can't help with (like user experience).

So any help/suggestions would be greatly appreciated!!!!!

Hey,

I've always had mine serviced by VW- it's usually like some standard rate depending on the mileage so it may be worth asking them if they have specials. Also, don't get suckered into replacing wiper blades etc..

Alternatively, you can use a mechanic who I know- Robert Fisher 082 330 1291 to ask what it'll cost.
His wife also drives a Polo and he's services my wife's Corsa with no issues.

While it's not exactly in Fourways, I've had a good experience with Ferruccio Auto. It's a Italian family business and I've found they go the extra mile. They're not 'cheap' but you do get peace of mind that your car has been thoroughly checked.

Thanks Marlin! I've just had a few bad experiences with VW (all in CTN mind you, so maybe JBurg is different)!! But I will call them and find out! My poor old car needs quite a bit of TLC this service, so I might just have to price around and then suck it up and get it done!!!

Thanks Napalm :p

Probably because you went to a Barons.

The Hatfield group took over the VW dealership in Rivonia recently, and they've got one in Bryanston as well. If you want to stick to dealer servicing, they're as good as it gets.
