Mine was 20 years old when I handed it over to the new owner. But then my pool pump housing was built and installed for easy maintenance, not by the dimwits that built the one at OPs place.

Too late, I no longer live in my home in PTA. No pool down here in CT and not planning to get one of those millstones again.
