pool hose accessories help

Hi all

I have this automatic pool cleaner accessory thing that you attach to the pool hose which turns the hose every few times allowing the creepy to cover more areas of the pool.

What is it called and where do I attach it, 1st hose 2nd hose last ?

Its a load of crap by the way. After about 6 months my hose started curling up on itself. The Barracuda was cleaning this tiny circle neat the weir. I first thought it was old hoses, so I replaced them all with new Zodiac ones. Then I dumped that piece of crud and the problem mysteriously went away.
