actually, in PTA the ANC government did fail to realise that the open fields were there for a reason, aka to absorb large quantities of water using an effective and cheap way, but guess what, they allowed contractors to build town houses, (it won't surprise me if this is the case in Johannesburg as well!)

without actually realizing that water has to flow somewhere!!

hence the road potholes is their problem because they caused it!

Whats next, Toll roads failed to generate enough money after all the "overheads" so the next best thing will be "Pool tax" to fix the potholes in roads, then when that source will diminish in ratio with the stolen funds "Overheads" and then? what are they going to scavenge next? Sex tax? ... Well maybe that could work, maybe it would at least stem the baby boom.

Yesterday evening, I walked past a road where they were re-surfacing, and the truck that delivers the asphalt did a high-speed u-turn on the new road surface and completely fsked up the road surface, leaving behind 6 circular dents in the road.
Fsking morons!
