Poor MWEB ADSL gaming performance complaints

Yeah if you weren't "managing" specific protocols and applications in the first place you wouldn't need "“We had a few problems identifying The Division’s netcode and traffic signature for a day or two after launch, but with some clever monitoring and liaison with our engineers, we have been able to identify and prioritise the traffic effectively,”

I have erratic issues playing CS:GO on Mweb Premium Uncapped 4Mbps. Yes, the CS:GO servers are bleh at the moment, but when gaming on my Mweb account it is generally now an poor user experience. I do not have similar experiences with my Axxess or AH account. Plus, the Google issue is still lingering…

I have already attended to resolving the issues.

Also,

“These issues are experienced all over the world by most providers and many of these errors are not network-connection related.”

Anyone here know what is up with error 'DELTA 20020192' and how to resolve the issue? It is the only game giving me connection problems and I have tried the UBI Q&A and Google DNS…

A VPN or switching to another ISP's account resolved the issue. It has also been a long time since I was able to play the game on my MWEB account… the last time that I had tested this was earlier this month, and it seems to be a night time thing???

I also see that there is an MWEB thread on this,

Why still use MWEB??? There are much better ISP’s out there than them!

People are too lazy to follow their tedious cancellation process. Glad I didn't stick around.

Pretty much this... but im at the point where i just dont care anymore, i was involved in all 3 of those threads and can say that MWEB dont care at all about their users, sitting with Destiny issues for nearly 2 years?

Switching to another ISP, its just about deciding now.

Thats why I no longer use MWEB. When I started playing WarCommander, there were no issues, then they did something and I could not connect to Kixeye servers at all anymore. Only way I could continue playing was to change ISP. -

Mweb was great under their old CEO when they started pushing uncapped, but definitely went downhill after the switch.

Crystal Web has definitely been the best ISP for me - works flawlessly and they actually care about their clients.

I have the exact same problems. Google ridiculously slow most days, across all their services.

Also have latency issues with CS:GO. Also on Premium Uncapped 4Mbps

The best thing that MWEB ever did for me was to send out that letter.

It prompted me to move off their network (regrettably to OW), but now I have found my home at CW.

CW doesn't need a few days to "prioritize" games. MWEB should just go die a horrible death, they are irrelevant in today's market.

I jumped ship as soon as they started throttling gaming traffic to 56k dialup when I was throttled.

Thank gawd I jumped ship.

so they are using layer 7 regular expressions to route these games... lol eish. got some high resource usage there by any chance?

really???

"Another culprit is NAT, or network address translation. NAT is how many devices connected to a single home router via one public IP address are able to access the Internet.

“Ensuring that you have NAT or port-forwarding enabled and set up correctly on your router and that the game is specifically allowed through your firewall is critical.”

really!?!?!?

you suck mweb, so so bad.

it is clear that they have no clue.

Time to revisit this thread. Have you guys come up with an honest response since April? Look now, it is time that I have to consider to leave your below mediocre service behind. As a customer, we need to have at least, at the minimum least, an acceptable service. At times, I need an VPN to browse through Google, to access any Google service.

I do not believe this statement that your company have made in April,

There are no general problems on the MWEB network that cause poor performance for online gamers, the Internet service provider has told MyBroadband.

it simply does not concur with my user experience and I did give you ample time to resolve the issues. Is it now that you want to sell Mweb to IS that you have completely gave up on your subscribers?

Every time a query is made, you want to investigate the account and to give the complainant a checklist. How many times have this resolved the issue or is it more so to buy time?

But let me get to the topic, games are running worse than poorly. I am unable to play online games that I have purchased due to a bad internet experience, a repeated experience. How come does other ISP users have a better experience on your gaming servers?

It is like you want your subscribers to go to the competition, and now you guys have reached a stage to ditch the business without being transparent to your subscriber base.

How IS is going to FIX Mweb is beyond me. How I have supported Mweb since 2009... Ugh.
