@MWEBHelp

I have an uncapped 10mbps fibre package with MWEB.

This about my performance for the past 3 weeks. I have called Tech Support (with no luck).

Besides MWEB's generally terrible customer service, this performance is a joke. I did a Speedtest earlier which averaged 0.1Mpbs. To put that in perspective, that's less than twice the speed of a 56kbps dial-up modem.

Please help, @MWEBHelp?

Have you checked with a cable attached to your router and WiFi disabled? always helps to make sure it's a line/SP problem rather than a local WiFi issue.

Moving away from Mweb altogether seems to be the best option. I haven't seen much in the way of good reviews for them in ADSL or fibre.

Yea I have done, no change. They have scheduled their technical team to call me back.

What a ****ing joke.

Cool Ideas seems to be the ISP of choice here. I suggest moving to them

I "upgraded" my 10mb/s DSL to 40mb/s Openserve fibre (thru MWeb) two weeks ago, both capped accounts

Speed tests all show fibre as running great at 35+ / 20
Web browsing is quick enough, but everything rarely shows speeds over 10mb/s

For example tonight it took 30 minutes to download a 32mb update on my phone from the Playstore.
I ran a SpeedTest on my phone right after and it was full speed

I have the same issues on laptops via WiFi and cabled

At this stage the connection is more stable but overall is slower than my DSL.
Am I missing something?
