Just to say thanks to Maroping for getting in touch and getting things sorted out. If this is the level of customer service one can come to expect of Cell C then I'm happy to keep giving you my money.

I'm putting this in writing here so Cell C has a chance to respond properly and hopefully they will beyond "apologies for the inconvenience, but it's not my fault." It's mostly an attempt to ensure someone in charge sorts this out properly and I don't get stuck with a contract or charges I never agreed on.

Here's the story: I applied and was pre-approved for the R99 p/m plus WiFi device 5GB + 15GB promotion Cell C had a few months ago. They ran out of stock of the device and I got helped somewhere else, but the order remained open all this time. I received a phone call on Friday the 17th of June from a salesman offering me the deal, with the ZTE MF910 device at R99 p/m. I confirmed at least twice that this is what I'll receive (check your phone recordings) and got off the call with a warm and fuzzy feeling about Cell C. I've had the R499 30GB+30GB LTE deal with the Huawei B315 router for a few weeks and it was working out well and the extra bit of data would be great to have as a backup. To be clear, at this stage I already had three lines with Cell C, one for my cellphone, one R99 p/m data deal and the aforementioned R499 deal. This deal would've been the fourth number on my account.

The deal was processed and the parcel was shipped the next day, super-speedy service and I was really impressed with how things were going. However, I received an activation quotation e-mail on Monday where a different deal than what I agreed on was specified, instead of R99 p/m for 5GB+15GB and a ZTE MF910, I was quoted for a Huawei B315 (like the one I already had) and 5GB+15GB for R199 p/m. This was obviously incorrect and in breach of what I agreed on with the salesman who phoned me. I got in touch with him immediately and eventually got a response from him that I had to phone and cancel as they ran out of stock of the MF910 device and the Huawei was sent as a replacement, furthermore I WOULD be paying the R199 p/m and not the R99 p/m I agreed on.

I then spent 30mins on the phone being passed around and then was told that the deal I was promised is no longer available and I'll have to take the R199 p/m deal or cancel. I then asked the person to cancel and arrange for a courier to pick up the new device I received, though he was at first confused about which line I wanted to cancel. This morning when the courier arrived he had been told to collect TWO parcels from me, this has left me a little peeved and now worried that one of my other accounts have also been marked with a cancellation request. So I'm pretty fed up now with having to do the thinking for Cell C to ensure they don't mess up anything else, I'm already fairly angry at being sold a contract and device, only to be told erm, sorry, no you can't have that and we'll give you a more expensive option without consulting with you.

Cell_C: my ref. is CCD14706. Please don't send me a message to say "sorry for the inconvenience." I'd prefer you send me the deal I signed up for on Friday the 17th of June OR that you check this cancellation order to ensure that ONLY the deal I did NOT agree on is cancelled and none of my other three. I'll send you the numbers of the accounts I do want to KEEP in a PM if necessary.
