Poor service from Vodacom

I am disappointed with the service I received from Vodacom.

No one seemed to be cared about my query. Everyone is ignorant. They don't want to accept that they have been inconvincing me. Since I am waiting for my order first week of April. I am calling them everyday with no joy at all. Today I called them then only to be told that my order has been cancelled without even notifying me... They all failing to help me. No one wants to put me through to the manager. All the consultants I spoke to they all rude except the last guy that tried to assist me but well he also failed to make me understand why my order was cancelled without me knowing. MTN service is very fast and you would swear that they are not on lock down. They make sure they communicate with their customers unlike vodacom. No one is responding to my emails. Vodacom service is very poor, the staff members needs to be professional, needs to understand customers query and try their best to help you not to tell u to go and complain to hello Peter and they even emphasizing that even if u can complain no one can help you.

Can someone please help me, still waiting to be assisted by Vodacom with no joy
 
Yep, vodascum is going down the toilet atm.... wonder why. I noticed their service getting significantly worse a few years ago and now they going full post office level failure.
 
Sad to say but your experience with Voda is spot on. They don't care sufficiently about small business or individuals. We have a medium (in their words , "small") sized countryside corporate account with Vodacom Business. I must say that communication , levels of service and general admin received is poor. They couldn't repair our Business Wifi links for 3 months! They can't improve our voice signal footprint at work for 3 years. Their admin is unreliable . Their insurance for handset channels are unreliable. All in the name of "your number of subscribers are too low" for us to feel committed to the need. I pushed them for repeaters , base stations , all just to fall into cracks. No follow ups , no customer-centric approach. Customer must beg for help - the whole time! I am not eager to go back to the alternatives of Telkom or MTN but i am at a point where myself as internal company account controller can't feel anything less for Vodacom. Poor service delivery. Period! Any senior Vodacom staff member is welcome to contact me in PM and assist me to get our company to change this view and opinion of their collective service delivery.
 
Neighbour (84) has an old Nokia 3332 phone, about 20+ years old and has poor eyesight so cannot use a smartphone.
His contract charges him R120 a month which is paid by debit order
Since Feb 2019 he has not been able to use the phone since the entire fee is debited to some “value-added” service that charges R200 - R260 to his acc
Yet none of these services will operate on a dumb phone
He has spent many hours in vain at Vodacom shops, the staff view it as a joke. He has, with my assistance, sent STOP messages for these WASPS. It stops for a few days or two, then recommences
Worst of all, this morning he received a letter of demand from Vodacom‘s attorneys alleging he owes them R1200 + R630 interest + R1800 for collection fees
This affected him so badly that he had a heart attack. His wife is terrified that he will contract Covid-19 if he is taken to hospital
How can Vodacom get it so wrong and exhibit such disinterest?
No-one could care a stuff

You know you can permanently block WASPs on the number? I assume that's what you mean by value added services. No need to go to Vodacom.
 
He has done this, at least 10 times. It seems to last about 10 days. Anyway, the phone has been unuseable for over a year for outgoing calls

He wants to have the phone as his daughter calls him every day

I have bought him a cheapie from Pep with a CellC SIM and he can use that

He is much better today. It turned out not to be a heart-attack, but a panic attack

The letter from Vodacom's attorneys provides no contact information apart from a street address in Jhb
