Is this town developing?

Is it worth acquiring property there?

Any new big developments envisaged for the area?

Before moving to Pretoria end 1999, I lived at Bushmans River Mouth; not far from Port Alfred and close to Kenton-on-Sea. What a beautiful area! Property in Port Alfred is VERY expensive now. Have you been there Blu?

It's a police holiday area. Why would you even think of going there

I can honestly say I have no clue where policemen vacation.

I don't wanna "go there". Just curious about the area. I thought it was in the vicinity of the Coega/Koega development.

The Police have a resort there for their employees. Or they used too. Never liked the place, but hey that's just me.

I like Bushmans River but not Port Alfred, I've been to the area many times in the past. I will never buy in Port Alfred.

Port Alfred is booming and you will be lucky to to acquire property there unless you have serious money!!

Yet none of you can give me a specific reason as to why not ... ?
Because its crowded and their are too many people there, its just personal taste, no specific reason. I won't buy in Port Elisabeth or East London either. I prefer smaller places.

They have a world class flying school;)
World class, maybe not, but it's the best we have.

Port Alfred is still a sleepy town, with some nice beaches and undeveloped areas. Not much changes there and the roads are bad. Good if you are going to retire I guess. The river is fun if you have a boat or like fishing.

My fiance did her PPL there and at the time it was considered world class. Not sure about now, this was 8 or 9 years ago mind you.

Coega development is more towards Port Elizabeth. Port Alfred is more of a holiday resort. If I could move back to that area, I would move straight away!
