I am in the process of setting up a home network and one of the things i want to do is set up a priority of traffic heading out on to the web.
The set up i want is as follows:

Gold Pipe : gaming
Silver pipe : HTTP and video streaming
Bronze: Everything else

The server i want to use to route traffic through has Windows Server 2008 R2 and as a result I need software that I can on there that will do my bidding. I would like it to be plug and play
I have access to a Technet Subscription so any Microsoft product would be possible and would be preferred. My mates were talking about ISA Server...

thanks

From my experience it's not as easy as you would like it to be. We use a Mikrotik routerboard, which works quite nicely.

Not sure if the exercise is worth the effort. Heavy traffic loads are usually on the inbound side, and the above won't affect this (unless you can control the upstream router).

its not worth it, most dsl modems do QoS already.
