Port resetting

Good day all

Is it possible to reset an ADSL port without dropping the line - or it is that the port was never reset?
 
No, connection will drop. Possibly faster than you realized, but the line will drop.

I can reset it for you if you'd like. Just PM me the details.

Thanks rubber_otter, that's what I tried to explain to support - my connection still claimed to be up for the last 20 hours.
 
Not too sure how reliable those claims can be... I have seen Windows 10 PCs, saying they have been connected for 10 days, after I just restarted the PC. :p
 
Does the port reset function on Vox's client portal work?
 
The only reason that a port can be reset without dropping the connection is only if the line is not connected to that particular port.
