Does anyone perhaps have an update on this?

I'm trying to exit CellC-Autopage to go direct to CellC, but am getting plenty of stories.
1. CellC suggests first going prepaid as they cannot / are struggling to port contract numbers (despite contract having run its time) from Autopage.
2. Autopage is advising against converting to prepaid as it will inconvenience me plus in latest call they have now also mentioned the 90 day prepaid story.

For now I'm remaining an unhappy Autopage customer.

Ask in the Cell-C section and PM the Cell-C rep.

being prepaid with CellC is better than staying with APC. Even if the term is 6 months, it would still ne better than staying...

Thanks ginggs,

Decided to be brave, latest CC direct rep said none of the above were applicable, so hopefully will be sorted once my new phone arrives. Will update then.

Very much a noob here, unable to find a CellC section when searching - would very much appreciate a pointer, just for the odd chance of things going pear shaped with the port.

OK,

The promised update.
After 7 days of inactivity plenty good vibrations came in in the form of SMSs stating my order has been processed, port request has been successful, both from CellC and Autopage. Was a touch worried that as no phone or SIM arrived yet I would be left without comms. However as promised by the rep, porting etc only kicked in after phone & SIM were delivered.

Nett result, new phone, same number no more Autopage just direct to Cell C. So a successful port from Autopage-CellC to CellC was achieved without having to go on prepaid.

Woohoo!!!
