There is always, always a good side to every situation, no matter what.
The financial analysts are paid by the ANC to speak s**t. There is absolutely no positives for South Africa when our monetary unit is falling against the Dollar. Yes, a few individuals generating international income may benefit. Local manufacturers will not benefit as much as anyone would think. It is still cheaper for any country or company to have their goods manufactured in China. A weaker Rand will not mean billions of Rands being poured into the manufacturing sector.
At the end of the day, the falling Rand will do much more harm than good to the average citizen and the country as a whole.
If this trend continues, we will all soon be walking around with R1,000, R10,000 and R100,000 notes in our wallets.
