What do you think?

China's big economic stick: No Dalai Lama allowed

Let us assume that a year ago, a well known South African Moslem cleric were to invite Bin Laden to his birthday party and if Zuma refused to grant him a visa, would Charles Molele's article be entitled "US' big Economic Stick: No Bin Laden" ?

It is well known that the CIA admitted that the Dalai Lama is in its payroll since the late 1950's to destabilise China. In fact, with the support of the CIA, the Dalai Lama probably killed more Chinese than Bin Laden killed Americans during 9/11. Do you think it is realistic for China to turn a blind eye ?

I know Desmond Tutu is very proud that he is a Nobel Peace laureate. But is the Nobel Peace Prize worth anything if a terrorist like the Dalai Lama could be awarded a Nobel Peace Prize ? In recent years, the reputation of the Prize suffered irrevocably. For example, Obama was awarded the Peace Prize in 2009. For what ? For selling 6 billion dollars to Taiwan against the Mainland or for sending more troops to Afghanistan and killing more Iraqis ? Makes all of you think, doesn't it ?

He's right about Obama though. Don't see what he did to earn a peace prize.

We should invite that commenter here so that they can experience some unbridled myBB flaming. He seems like the PR type that tries to stay level headed in the face of strong debate. Wonder how long he'd last?

I can't really find any credible connection to the Dalai Lama being paid by the CIA..

I mean hell, David Icke's forum is in the first page of results.. that instantly makes it a massive tinfoil hat type theory.

He was paid $1.7 million by the CIA per year. I still can't believe the bs claimed in the OP though. The DL responsible for more deaths than those that died during 9/11 that is a bit hard to believe.

The Dalai Lama's administration acknowledged today that it received $1.7 million a year in the 1960's from the Central Intelligence Agency, but denied reports that the Tibetan leader benefited personally from an annual subsidy of $180,000.

The money allocated for the resistance movement was spent on training volunteers and paying for guerrilla operations against the Chinese, the Tibetan government-in-exile said in a statement. It added that the subsidy earmarked for the Dalai Lama was spent on setting up offices in Geneva and New York and on international lobbying.

I would believe anything these days, would not surprise me if he was being paid by the CIA
Out with it marine1! You support or believe nothing without some sort of agenda! And no, you don't believe anything these days only that which fits in with your narrow world view.

Hectic! And here I thought he is just some spiritual leader monk...

Actually, I think I heard the CIA funding thing on Penn and Tellers BS. As to the killing Chinese I doubt it very much. I don't buy into the DLs west friendly version of Buddhism but he's not a terrorist. A bull ****ter maybe.

???? Are you high?
What planet do live on?
Every single person has an agenda
So you think he has no outside funding?
Come on man wake up I know at the ANC they teach you to believe what they tell you but try think outside the box for a change.

All I am saying is nothing would surprise me if it was true.

Lib, this is what I dont get. Why is the massive Chinese juggernaught scared of this old man. I just dont get it.
The Chinese also fear Google, facebook, twitter, they fear words like democracy, historical searches of past rebellions, they fear anyone who hints at democracy or political reform. The Chinese fear everything, so that they fear the Lama should be of no surprise to anyone.

I should imagine it's the same story as the former ussr. Once you appease secession you set a precedent for other factions in favor of decentralized authority.

He's just an old man. Yet they treat him as if he is a walking atom bomb. I hear what you guys are saying though.
