The 1st of March I was due for and upgrade. I had a R119 for 2 GB deal. I went from that to the R99 (2GB + 3GB) deal. Was charged for an upgrade fee. Fine, I paid it.
The 2nd invoice came and it was R132.62. I phoned the Cell C outlet on a Thursday and they said they will sort it out and phone me back. Did not hear anything from them and decided to go there on Saturday. Big surprise: The shop was empty and a piece of paper was on the door and it said they closed down.
So again I phoned Cell C customer service. They said from the 1st of June it would be R99.00. Today I got my invoice: R310.00.
Phoned them again and they said the promotion ended. On the website there is still a R99.00 (2BG + 3GB) deal. Then he continued and typed a lot of things on his keyboard and later said he escalated it and they would phone me back in 2 days.
Now: Is it possible to cancel this contract or get the CPA involved. Maybe a attorney.
I have no problem with the speed (12 - 14 Mbps speeds). The speed is better than MTN and Vodacom where I live and I would like to continue to use the service. But R310.00 for 2GB is absurd.
