Hi there

Is it possible to have a data bundle, which is loaded on one sim card, moved to another? I have a monthly data bundle (contract) on a sim card which I only use with a USB/vodafone device, plugged into my laptop, but have found that the connection is far superior when using my new phone (Nokia E71) as a modem. I'd like to transfer the bundle onto the sim card I use for my phone, so that I don't have to switch cards when using my phone as a modem and am able to receive incoming calls when online.

Thanks

AFAIK, you cant transfer Data Bundles. Although it would be an awesome feature to have.

I don't believe this will help you, but I lost a SIM with a good deal of air time and a 2G data bundle - I bought a R0.99 SIM from Pick n Pay and called 100, and they applied my old number to this new card and it was active in about 2 hours - no fees involved and the call center staff answered and dealt with it promptly and professionally.
Now, if only I could get that kind of service trying to re-connect my DSTV for the holidays.

The problem is that you cannot merge two separate contracts into one AFAIK. You would have to wait till the data contract expires, cancel it and then add a month-to-month data bundle to your voice contract.

A little more detail about what the exact setup is would help. If you are using a prepaid sim in your modem with the data bundle loaded, then no, you can not transfer the data onto another sim/cellnumber. Same goes for contract, but if you are using a contract sim in the modem, then a data sim will be the best solution. Twin Sim can also use data, but only one can be used @ a time.
