Post Office crisis

CEO should be leading the company through this crisis, not sit at home doing nothing... else he's not fit to be a CEO...

Whenever I read these articles I think of the honest, hard working breadwinners who diligently go to work every day and put in a solid day's work. These folks then get reamed by the unions with their politicking and power games.

This mess at SAPO is about contract workers being offered permanent positions. Due to the numbers it was being implemented in stages. This was not acceptable to the Unions so they continued their strike, which hurts everybody including the very people they are supposedly representing.

If they were protesting about the top management at SAPO and cadre deployment at all management levels, even I would support them.

Instead the hurt continues...

High time all the unions need to lose their power... they're the ones who's making life in general more expensive!

But how else will the permanent workers get the 15% they are asking for? (its not just the temporary workers striking, there are multiple strikes going on)

The only reason I care about this strike/the post office, is because I only want/need one letter a month delivered at home for FICA/RICA purposes.

Postal workers needs to be considered as essential services and not allowed to strike. I feel for the people that just fighting for a decent wage but honestly its crippling the economy.

If they say that there might not be money for salaries at the end of the month how do these striking workers think they will get their increases?

All we need is one thing: The Iron Lady Approach.

and god knows we need that, but...

Union leaders don't decide to strike or to end a strike, this happens on a vote by the union members.

Some of them are striking about this, and some were also striking without the union since they felt the unions were in the pockets of management.
