Can't believe I'm about to say this, but the Post Office actually surprised me this time with an incoming international parcel.
I usually only order internationally if they send the parcel via a courier like FedEx or DHL Express, however this time I did not have a choice so I had to make use of the Postal Service in Australia (AusPost), they had big delays on their side with limited flights, so the package took 32 days to arrive in JHB at customs, once I saw it had arrived locally I did not have much hope of actually receiving the package anytime soon, or at all.
To my surprise the package got cleared with customs in 2 hours and was handed back to SAPO, it then took 4 business days to arrive in CPT at my local Post Office. To make things even better I got a call from the Post Office telling me that my Parcel arrived and that THEY will deliver it on Monday (today) between 10AM and 1PM, I was totally in shock because everyone says that they do not deliver parcels. Low and behold, 10:30AM the driver arrived and handed me the parcel, paid the custom duty and clearance fee, then sat in disbelief for 5 minutes staring at the package.
