We tracked Post Office Speed Services packages — big flaws exposed

MyBroadband tracked Post Office Speed Services packages from their origin to their destination, which uncovered severe inefficiencies in the system.

To track the parcels, MyBroadband used Chipfox Internet of Things devices which use the SqwidNet Sigfox network.

Well for Dawn Wing/DPD Laser it wouldn't be any better ... my package has been listed as being at the local depot for almost 7 days now. Delivery was scheduled for 2 days ago, yet it still shows as being at their depot.

Maybe Centurion or Gqeberha Post Office is the problem. it is not a random test, using 2 test points. Need to have better test data points to make any meaniful conclusions.

Wonder how the international wait times are at the moment. I had a pleasent surprise in Sep, when a package took less than 30 days to get to me from the UK.

I had a parcel sent out to me from Colorado in the US with FedEx, it took 5 days from first notification that the parcel has been picked up till I had it in my hands.

I meant with the post service. 5 days with FedEx is to be expected

I had something sent out in late November... Still waiting... So the brief good service from the post office seems to be over again and back to the normal 60 days+, if you ever get it.

KZN...

and I just had a look at the tracking, 1 of the items has apparently now arrived in South Africa... even though it has definitely been sitting in the main mail sorting hub for a month and a half.
