Post Office website down for days

Can honestly say that they don't care about customer service. Their operating hours is till 17h00, but have photographic evidence they close up (chains on door outside) at 16h45.
Sent email to Mark and posted on his Twitter account and no response... Sigh
16h30 and they don't close a minute after that even disrupting service to do it.

They tried to deliver one of my parcels recently, apparently. Which is a lie, because if they did, my gate would have phoned me to ask if I am home. Anyway.

My other parcel left customs 2 months ago and has not moved since.

Who, the Post Office? They dont deliver parcels. They will just send you a notice that there is a parcel for collection at your nearest branch.

Well the status on the tracking website says:
2/19/2018 3:47 PM Unsuccessful delivery ZA11574 Missed Delivery/Attempted delivery today

I am convinced that my other parcel is actually at a post office in Joburg and I just don't know which one. I am convinced that the tracking data is wrong.

Last time I went to the Benmore post office to have a look at the book, the guy told me that the manager had taken it away from the post office. This was on a Saturday. I think he was lying to me although I don't know why anyone would lie about that.

I have had that as well. It's not delivery at your house, but at the Post Office. I went with my tracking number anyway and the parcel was there. It's was the EMS delivery guy that screwed up.

Hold onto your hats, button down your hatches and waterproof your homes. I actually got a local tracking number for my international parcel from SAPO clientservices within 12 hours.

I'm actually so angry about the whole thing.

Like, how difficult is it to just DO YOUR JOB? I don't get it. It's so easy.

But yet we have to put up with a post office so bad that even other third world countries are like DAMN.

They now tell me that one of my parcels was delivered to Benmore, and then sent back because it was the wrong post office. I'm like, just leave it there! I'll collect it! Even if you sent it to Pretoria, I'd collect it. The less the Post Office tries to do, the better.

The other parcel is still MIA and now MyProtein tells me they won't refund me because more than 40 days have elapsed.

I requested a refund yesterday(Wish) and was refunded during the night. Just received the slip to collect along with R24 invoice.
Definitely my Multimeter I ordered early December last year. The international tracking number is indicated on it, along with a local tracking number.

My MyProtein order was dispatched 77 days ago. It's not looking good.

I have contacted Mark Barnes but he is on leave at the moment.

I really do not get what is so difficult about getting parcels to the right place.

Yeah this is the part I don't get. Why not ask me where I want to collect it. Instead they send it back to Germiston hub then JIMC where the process starts all over before they send it to Germiston again. The two offices are like 3km apart from each other. No wonder they are so inefficient.

So just an update on this.

The postoffice.co.za domain has disappeared. Even their email bounces!

So the entire company is down. Utter disaster!

Lol. I guess some admin just found out what happens when you remove all the DNS entries.

Come down to George lea (Milk Bar) for a beer if you are in the area.

I am just guessing my parcel is stuck somewhere in the airport dumped with other parcels :(

Article - https://mybroadband.co.za/news/gove...own-emails-bouncing-domain-fees-not-paid.html

The South African Post Office’s online presence appears to be in tatters.

Accessing the SA Post Office website is impossible, and navigating to www.postoffice.co.za results in a “server IP address could not be found” error.

Emails to addresses on the postoffice.co.za domain are also bouncing, and producing a “mail delivery failed” error.

Emails sent to SA Post Office staff saw us receive the following error:

Final-Recipient: rfc822;[Address redacted]@postoffice.co.za
Status: 5.0.0
Diagnostic-Code: smtp; Unrouteable address

The website and email downtime follows recent reports that the Post Office website was down for several days.

Customers also previously reported that calls to the company’s call centre were not answered.

Domain fees

Additionally, MyBroadband found that payment for the postoffice.co.za domain has not been made, according to the ZACR whois service.

An amount of R125.40 was invoiced on 1 February 2018, and was listed as “not paid” at the time of writing.

The invoice was sent to [email protected].

Further signs of trouble were found when the telephone numbers listed on the whois page for the “Admin” and “IT Support” at the Post Office were called.

Both numbers returned an automated message that they had been changed, and that the new numbers were not available.

As stated above, attempts by MyBroadband to contact the Post Office via email and telephone proved futile.

Bhahaha all those Wish packages have clogged the system. In all seriousness, I went to the Milnerton post office the other day. Only one computer is working (meaning only one person can work) and when I finally reached the front of the queue, the lady told me it's been like that for 2 weeks. Best of all, when she printed my receipt, it was on the Lotto paper roll. When I asked her about it, she said they ran out of office supplies months ago. Hopefully they still have toilet paper. I really pity the people working in the offices.
