Afternoon friends I need help our post office has been offline for two weeks. Honestly I don't believe it I think the workers don't want to work so they hiding behind the offline thing. So where should I complain and my complain will be taken serious. Or is it possible that they telling the truth the offline.

I think it was in the news a short while back, Telkom disconnected all their (or their IT providers) lines or something due to non-payment IIRC

That wasn't the Post Office, that was the eNatis system wasn't it?

Anyhow, I've also gotten "the system is offline" a good few times at the Post Office. No amount of rage will do, just come back later. Chalk it down to 'the South African experience'.

Yeah... that was what I was talking about... do people still go to the post office for any other reason than a license disk renewal? :wtf:

If you've got a mother older than 60, like I do, then yes. She does love sending me parcels and door-to-door couriers are too expensive.

But seriously offline for 2 weeks

Sad but it's government, that's how they roll, but their CEO seems to be a man with good intentions so please just be an upstanding citizen, send him a mail and let him know, sometimes things go on for so long because we just complain and do nothing, e.g I came back to my complex to find that we did not have power, when I asked if anybody reported to City Power this is the response I got, "the whole street does not have power so probably somebody has reported it", now just imagine if that somebody assumed that some body else reported.
