PostBox-Courier.com how to

A few people have been asking me for Stackry referral codes via PM. Using a referral code gets both the referrer and referee $10 in credit, but only once the referee (recipient) ships their first package.

Feel free to use my referral code: 78215. Or sign up with the following link: https://www.stackry.com/register?referral=78215 (yes I'll earn $10 for each person that uses the above code as soon as they do their first shipment).

Once you've signed up, you can distribute your own referral codes and earn some credits using this page: https://www.stackry.com/affiliate

Hi guys.

Not having a great experience wth PBC this time.

I've used them twice in the past for odds and ends I buy from eBay in the US, and I had extremely good service then.

About two weeks ago I decided to order vintage gaming equipment (and other ods and ends) from eBay in the UK (8 parcels to be expected). I had to phone him, and sent 5 emails regarding updates on my order, as the PBC website was not updating any of my parcels. It feels to me that you have to continuously poke Gary to get service.

The main problem I think is that it's difficult for them to match the arrived parcel with the item listed on PBC. This cannot be a unique problem. I gave permission for them to open the package to identify the contents and to flag the parcel on PBC.

It's a frustrating experience couple with Gary who is not really showing eagerness to assist. It's been a whole week since I last phone, and confirmed that one of packages arrived, and still not showing on the PBC site. Since then, more packages arrived (What I don't know), and I'm not getting feedback. Uggh...frustrating.

Couple of things;

1. The PBC guys will only know about a delivered parcel when the local depot acknowledges this. There is no fancy system where they scan in the item and it automatically shows up as 'delivered' in your parcel list. It's very much a manual process.

2. The USA local team are MUCH better at updating the PBC team as opposed to the UK guys. PBC are aware of this and are trying to sort it out.

3. It's very important to make sure your delivery address is exactly as indicated in your account settings but the big problem is most free deliveries in the UK are via Royal Mail and there is no tracking for this. My suggestion is that you opt for courier delivery as it's normally not much more. Most companies use Parcel Force and their tracking is great. Ebay sellers may not offer this of course.

4. Remember that just because a seller shows that your parcel has been shipped, it's not necessary true. I've found that most small Ebay or 3rd party Amazon sellers are quick to show that your order has shipped but in reality it's not always the case. They would rather you think the local delivery guys are slow than you thinking they are slapgat in getting your order out.

5. Gary can sometimes be difficult to get hold of and sometimes doesn't return emails. My solution is to send the email again or get hold of Greg as he's the one that processes the delivery updates.

Hang in there Martin.

I've used PBC for the 1st time and I'm not at all impressed, in fact I thought that I'd been scammed until I saw this thread.

I had 2 parcels delivered by Amazon US (using UPS) 2 days ago and they are still not shown as delivered on PBC's website. I sent PBC an email yesterday morning and haven't had a response yet. I have filled in all the details in the parcel pre-alert including UPS ref numbers.

I understand that black Friday and cyber Monday must be the busiest time of the year for them, but then at least they should have a message on their website saying that the process will be delayed by x days, and also reply with a standard email explaining this.

Hopefully I receive the parcels. I'm not so sure at this point.

Nothing to worry about - though they dont update when parcels arrive exactly they are on the ball, I would assume the parcels left on the Friday flight and will be here by Monday - they are 10x faster than many other freight forwarders and a lot more reliable and efficient -
I recently brought in a very high value item, no hassles.
If you not getting a response to emails you can send me a pm and I will send you some up to date contact info

Thanks for the info. My concern was that PBC had not received the parcels. I sent a 2nd email after the above post and got a response saying that they received the parcels, so it looks like it's on track now.

Great to find this thread, which gives me a little more confidence to register and use their services. Thank you, OP et al.

Do yourself a favour though, just don't try and bring in anything until the new year. Customs have gone mad, holding every import and checking for proof of payment. Some stuff has been in the country for over a month already. Nothing to do with PBC of course.

Another super fast shipment on the way. If you looking for a fast international shipper, then these guys are on the ball - parcels delivered Tuesday to their NYC depot - just received word cleared customs and they will be delivering to me a bit later today, thats two days, fruikken amazing. Sure maybe they have a couple of minor issues but with regards to speed, phenomenal.

Small parcels work out a tad expensive, but if you have a few parcels that you can consolidate into one shipment, then it works out cheaper and way less grief than the budget AGS service.

Hi everyone, I just had to share. So I ordered an item from the UK and it was delivered to PBC UK Depot Thursday morning. Did the parcel pre alert. By Saturday morning I did not see any updated status that indicated receipt of my parcel by PBC. I emailed customer support and recieved an email from Gary stating he was just out at the minute, but he wil get back to me. At about 19:00 I recieved the email from PBC that acknowledged receipt of my parcel and requested payment for shipping, which I made and notified PBC about the payment made, on which Gary again replied and confirmed receipt of payment and stated that everything is on track for my parcel for the flight tommorow (Sunday). Now if this is not EXCELLENT service, I truly dont know what is!

+1
Ordered fabric from USA on Monday - PBC alerted us parcel arrived in JHB on Friday

Used them before and can recommend

Going through my first experience with them now, ordered from Amazon UK. Next day delivery to them went off without a hitch, got notified and paid the shipping yesterday.

Waiting to see what happens next now, parcel status indicates paid but not shipped yet, assuming this may be due to their process being manual.

Hoping to get my package by Friday.

Most likely it has shipped. The status changes are all manual so often this doesn't always happen.

Hoping to get my package by Friday.
Depending on where you live, you can probably expect a delivery either today or tomorrow. When you get an invoice for the clearing fee and custom's duties and VAT, your delivery is imminent.

That would be remarkable. Do they use a separate courier locally for delivery?

Depends on the shipment. In Joburg, Greg normally delivers but I've had UK parcels delivered by Amarex or Ram (can't remember which one). I'm not sure about Cape Town, maybe Gary does it.

All seems good so far, package arrived at customs this morning so I've paid the fees and now just awaiting delivery.

Meh, silly domestic executive. Greg arrived to deliver and she didn't open, he'll swing by later.

All in all great service though.
