Power FM here in 2013

I guess this is where Eusebius Mckaiser is heading to?
He recently left 702
 
Why can't we have a decent talk radio in DBN, or even get signal from one of the others...?
 
I if won the lotto I think the second thing I would do is open up a Radio station in Durban just for local music.
 
We need a good station in CT, hate Goodhope FM and the only good thing about 5FM is Cliff and Fresh

Eusebius McKasier is leaving Talk Radio 702 for Power FM and is rumoured to be their drive time host. He will also be their head of strategy. A white guy, who is yet to be named is apparently set to replace him as host of Talk at nine on 702.

Power FM. 98.9 (read about it HERE) is a new Gauteng radio station aimed at the black middle class that is set to compete with Talk Radio 702 and Kaya FM. It is said to have already poached quite a few EWN and 702 employees. Tumisang Ndlovu (was with KayaFM), Theo Konki ( was with Sapa), Katlego Mogase (news reader at EWN), and two technical producers from 702 have all jumped ship.

Okay, so I am precluded from listening. Hmmm.

Anyhow, I wasn't a great fan of Eusebius McKasier, so no great loss.

If you like Alternative/Rock music, there is AFM on 91.3. Sound quality isn't great, but they are a very new small radio station so I would assume their equipment isn't up there with the 5FM's of the world.
 
the more, the merrier , the better, anyway we need more alternative voices.
