Power over features

When it comes to power, it's extremely difficult to compare without listening.

Power is something so easy to manipulate and figures seldom tell the full story - unless they mention distortion levels at the quoted power, the frequency range, the impedance, peak vs continuous etc.

EDIT : I'd go with the R3,000.00 system anyhow. The same manufacturer should mean power output is measured the same ... and it is the more powerful.

Seems to have better specs too (DTS, wireless speaker ready etc)

I dont know what your budget is, but if you are in Pta, you can pick up a 7.1 Yamaha AV receiver with Yamaha dvd player and 5.1 Yamaha speaker set for R6300 at Sounds Great in Woodlands. If I didnt have a home theater already, I would have gone for that!

He's in Durban :)

Nommies, I have the Sony equivalent of the 330W theatre system. Rather go for the 1000W, you'd notice the difference very very quickly. Mine's 350W and I can't push it to go very loud at all, before distortion kicks in.

Just go to game and test drive what they have there then you will have an idea

Is that 1000w or the 330w?
Or the R3000.00?

;)

R2000 for 330W? Is it RMS rating? 330W RMS is good enough how much louder would you need?
